Our first honest-to-goodness raid day since The BROKEN Mirror went live has come and gone, and we laid the first event, Vim and Vigor, to rest.  While adventuring has been quite enjoyable, and we truly enjoyed our time spent with devs this year on beta, the expansion has lived us to its namesake in many ways. Thankfully, our beloved Luclin server has finally calmed its rage down and is no longer giving us the greatest lagfest since Antonius Bayle on a daily basis.  We are eager to see continued patching and updates to help put things with the new launch bit closer to rights.   In the meantime, I'll leave you with some pictures from our first victory, in case you haven't seen it yet for yourself! We're on to the next....

Brace yourself... its a webpage update!! (and yes, that is a santa hat, because its been since uh, well, November since I updated the page last!)  We're desparately searching for a rockstar enchanter!!  Recruiting is also open for wizard, rogue, cleric, paladin, shaman and berserker, though we are always on the prowl for exceptional players regardless of class.

We've been quite busy since The Darkened Sea launched a few months ago... we're still working the last event of the expansion, but we're almost to farm mode.  Here's a glimpse at what we've been up to lately... they say pictures are worth a thousand words, so here's some of the fastest EQ reading you'll ever do!

Here in Canada, it is Remembrance Day.

Remembrance Day, much as it sounds, is the day we remember those who gave their lives in military service. In observance of the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in recognition of the end of hostilities of World War I, Remembrance Day is celebrated in many commonwealth countries, and the canadian observance includes wearing a poppy over your heart, special gatherings, assemblies at school, and ceremonies in most towns and cities across the country.  This year, Remembrance Day also celebrates the 100th anniversary of the beginning of WWI.

Today was particularly poignant as the National War Memorial was rededicated, adding both the Afghanistan mission as well as South African War, and the addition of a new phrase "In Service to Canada — Au service du Canada."  Just a short time ago, this monument was the site of a horrifying shooting that killed one of our soldiers on home soil, just two days after a separate incident that left a warrant officer dead.  I have been so proud of the way the media and the country in large has focused on the valiant sacrifice of the soldiers and who they were, rather then shining the limelight on the perpetrators of these terrible attacks.

Back in the US, it is Veterans Day, a day in which we honor all of those who have served in the military.

TR has a long tradition and a special place in our hearts for being a second home for service members, and we have been home to scores of active duty, wounded and disabled veterans, retired military personnel and the actively deployed.  It has been our honor to fight alongside of you all, even if only virtually, and know that we all support and appreciate the sacrifices you have all made over the years.  Whether you are a simple private or our very own colonel in residence; toughing it out on deployment; enjoying your retirement; still climbing the ranks; at sea, home, or stationed overseas; we are SO proud of you, and thankful for your service.  Let us also all remember that this service does not come without cost - and be ever mindful of our collective responsibility and duty to assist our soldiers and their families who need help readjusting to the every day, civilian life.

I'd also like to say a personal remembrance and thank you to the families of Volar, Carnon and Aaryanna, all who we lost this year to illness and personal struggles - though their deaths were not associated directly with their service; all were military in their past lives and today I remember them as I remember all others who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.

Its been a long, hard winter this year in Township Rebellion. In addition to the brutal cold and harsh weather, we have had to deal with losing more then one of our family. We will keep them and their memories alive in our hearts and thoughts, and it is with a sad heart and somber duty that I created the Township Rebellion Memorial Wall.  While I knew that this day would one day come to pass, it was made particularly difficult because our first fallen rebel was way too young to leave this mortal world.

Our first memorial gallery is dedicated to Adam Justin Carroll, or AJ as he was known to his friends, aka Aaryanna the Enchanter, 1980 - 2013.  Aaryanna was a member here for a very long time, having joined the TR family in 2004.  He passed away some time ago, about 6 months ago, but we only recently learned of his passing. Please take a moment to stop by our gallery and share a story or remembrance - comments are open to all but are moderated and will appear after approval.

Rest well, AJ.

Township Rebellion is looking for exceptional players in the shaman class with high playtime.  We currently maintain a formal schedule of Sunday through Thursday, but during farm time we average 3 raid nights a week.  If you are interested in joining a top tier raid guild, we strive to be the final home you may ever need to seek in EQ.  TR has consistently been among the first guilds to finish content since Planes of Power, so we are not just a flash in the pan -- we have been there, done that and look forward to doing it a for a long time to come. If you are interested contact Adetia or Ormus via tell, email, or on our boards.

We are specifically looking for level 100 players who have the ability to raid Sunday through Tuesday with occasional Weds/Thursdays who are eager to let their light shine in a guild that is hungry for talented shaman who can provide dps support and solid healing.  If you are interested, our application form can be found here.

Apologies for the delay I honestly had this written weeks ago but I didn’t want to fight with the images! So here is our expansion update. But I'm blaming it on Chandon because he buffs random mobs.

Wednesday, January 22th was the launch of part 2 of the Call of the Forsaken expansion. This tier brought some new raids and group missions to the table but no new zones. So we got to take part two of bixie(they used an old school bixie model and it was awesome, West Karana(we learned we helped the bad guys), Dead Hills (undead fun) and Neriak(kill some trash then kill some more!). The new raids were fairly fun and went down in an orderly manner. On the first night of the expansion we beat down raids from Neriak, Bixie and Dead Hills returning night two to finish West Karana. This brought us up in 8th place serverwide this launch. So with the conclusion of the raid content we have /farmstatus on again and are raking in loot like it’s going out of style! Below are some pictures of the fun.
