Preparing for Server Mergers

Gamanern (the maker of GamParse and GamTextTriggers) has simplified the process of moving from one server to another.

Essentially it renames all the files specific to your character to be used on another server. Can be used for server merges, moving to another server, or making a new character on the same server (I think).

not sure why a program is developed/suggested to do this. all you have to do is go into your EQ folder and change the server name on the UI and config files related to your toons. takes like 2mins... 1min to navigate, 1min to edit in the server name into the file name. its how ive done it in the past and never had any issues. just have to make sure that EQ is closed out is all.

You would be suprised at how many people are not familiar with Windows Explorer, or navigating through the file system.
